Weekly Wednesday suppers begin at 5:30, followed by ministries for all ages. You'll get to know the church family in coversation over supper, as you enjoy a meal prepared by Stella or Jenny. Wednesday Night Suppers
Weekly Wednesday night suppers September 7-May 30.
Serving line opens at 5:30.
Adults and youth: $6. Children 2 years-2nd grade: $2.
3rd-5th grades: $3. Family cap: $30. First timers are our guests.
Rhythm and Coos (5:00) and three children's choirs (6:30) meet beginning September 7 , as
does Youth Service/Learning (6:30). Study opportunities for adults begin on
September 14 (6:30).
Please make supper reservations in the Friendship Register on Sunday, or with the Church Office by Monday morning (wattsstreet@nc.rr.com).
On May 2, Emily and Ralph McCoy tell about their recent trip to Palestine and Israel, while shedding light on the Palestine/Israel conflict.
On May 9, the Peace and Reconciliation Mission Group leads Reflections on the Amendment 1 Vote.
May16 is currently open to allow for use by the Interim Search Committee.
On May 23 at 6:30 we’re all invited to enjoy end-of-the year Children’s Choir Celebration, in the sanctuary.
May 30 is the final Wednesday night supper of the spring. On that night the only programming is the Vacation Bible School preparation meeting.
During the summer, we gather for supper on the 4th Wednesday of each month: June 27, July 25, and August 22.
In addition, another study option for adults is offered each week through May 16. Debra Freeman leads Walking Through the Psalms: A Journey of Life and of Faith from 6:30 - 7:15 p.m. in the Norris-Tillman Ladies Seminar classroom. The group uses Psalms as its text, exploring their types and meanings, as well as how we find relevance today in this ancient poetry. Opportunities to write/journal one’s own “heart songs” are also provided.
